Gasuna Technologies Ltd (“Gasuna”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Gasuna mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy describes how data is handled in connection with the use of the App.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Gasuna App and explains our practices in relation to information processed through the App. Other Gasuna products or services (such as enterprise software used by gas suppliers) are governed by separate policies and contractual arrangements.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information

The Gasuna App does not collect personal information directly from users.

User accounts and associated personal information (such as name or contact details) are created and managed by participating gas suppliers using Gasuna’s enterprise software. Users are provided with an access code by their supplier to authenticate within the App.

The App may display personal or account-related information that already exists in Gasuna’s systems but does not provide functionality for users to input or submit personal data through the App.

b. Device, Connectivity & Usage Information

We automatically collect limited technical information necessary for the operation of the App and connected devices, including:

  • Device type, operating system, and app version

  • Unique device identifiers used for app and device functionality

  • Bluetooth connectivity data used for initial pairing with Gasuna smart devices

  • Local network and Wi-Fi information required to connect Gasuna      devices to the cloud

  • Log data such as IP address, crash reports, and app usage statistics

This information is used solely to ensure the functionality, reliability, security, and performance of the App.

c. Gasuna Device Data

If you use a Gasuna smart device, we collect operational data generated by the device, including:

  • Gas cylinder weight readings

  • Gas level status

  • Device health and connectivity status

  • Refill trigger events

This data is associated with a device and account for service delivery purposes and is not used for advertising or behavioural profiling.

2. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) or EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) applies, Gasuna processes data in connection with the App on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract – to provide the App and related services

  • Legitimate interests – to operate, secure, and improve the App and connected devices

  • Compliance with legal obligations – where applicable

Where Gasuna processes personal data on behalf of gas suppliers, it does so in accordance with applicable contractual arrangements and data protection laws.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described  in this Privacy Policy to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App

  • Authenticate users via supplier-issued access codes

  • Pair and connect Gasuna devices using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

  • Monitor gas levels and notify users when gas is running low

  • Trigger refill requests where enabled

  • Support supplier logistics and service delivery

  • Improve system performance, reliability, and security

We do not use data for targeted advertising and do not sell personal data.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

a. Gas Suppliers

Relevant device and usage data may be shared with participating gas suppliers solely to:

  • Facilitate refill scheduling

  • Support delivery and dispatch operations

  • Manage inventory and service fulfilment

b. Service Providers

We may use trusted third-party service providers to support the operation of the App, including:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure services

  • System monitoring and diagnostics

  • Error and crash reporting

These providers are required to process data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and contractual obligations.

c. Legal Requirements

We may disclose information where required to do so by law or in response to valid legal or regulatory requests.

5. Data Retention

Data collected through the App is retained only for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide and operate the App

  • Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and operational requirements

Requests relating to personal data managed by gas suppliers should be directed to the relevant supplier.

6. Data Security

Gasuna implements technical and organisational security measures that meet good industry standards to protect information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission

  • Secure cloud infrastructure

  • Access controls and authentication mechanisms

Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. User Rights

Subject to applicable data protection laws, users may have rights including the right to:

  • Access personal data

  • Request correction or deletion

  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities

Where personal data is managed by a gas supplier, such requests should be made directly to that supplier.

8. No Tracking

Gasuna does not use data collected through the App for tracking purposes as defined by Apple.

We do not link user or device data across apps, websites, or third-party services for advertising or marketing purposes.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. Gasuna does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date and made available within the App.
